TIA's Veterans Initiative Growth Update
TIA’s Veteran Initiative has been growing steadily. We have 72 companies in 34 states that have signed on to support TIA’s effort to help connect returning and disabled veterans with employers.
Given the enormity of the program, we have decided to employ regional points of contact in charge of brief checkups every few weeks to ensure TIA is doing all it can to see this initiative succeed.
- These POC’s will call or email to ask if resumes have been received, interviews conducted, hires made or if any additional assistance from TIA is needed.
We are honored to announce the following six TIA members have agreed to serve the initiative in this capacity, they are as follows:
- Northeast: Jim Morse President and CEO of RFX Inc.
- Southeast/Midwest: Ryan Hizey, Branch Manager : Atlanta, with Scott Logistics Corp
- Mid/Northwest: Jimmy DeMatteis President of Des Moines Truck Brokers and Chairman of TIAPAC
- Southeast: Dick Falconer, General Manager of KMX Logistics, Inc.
- Western: Alicia Ruiz, Carrier Relations Manager, with Johanson Transportation Service
- Southwest: Randy Elston, President of Elston-Nationwide Carriers
The veterans we seek to help are our mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, friends and
neighbors called upon by fate, to preserve the freedoms won generations ago by men and women
whose legacies live on in today’s warriors. We cannot afford to be passionate by proxy; we must
act on their behalf with equal parts passion and persistence to ensure they are cared for upon
their return.
