Guess What? The Perfect Storm is Now Punishing the LTL Sector!

The Transportation Perfect Storm has been hammering truckload capacity for months, but shippers are now seeing this Frankenstorm pounding the LTL Sector!

I'm sure you have noticed that the networks of most major LTL carriers are coming in with some jaw dropping rate increases! Why? They are operating at—or close to—full capacity. As a result, shippers are seeing geographically-based freight embargoes, suspended service guarantees and higher rates.

In this week’s video, we explain the reasons for this capacity crunch and pricing behavior and offer some thoughts on what shippers can expect to see for the remainder of 2018 and 2019. Spoiler alert: to paraphrase that Country and Western song: “It Ain’t Pretty!”
