Recently, I read an interesting article about our Founding Fathers and the fact that the independence we treasure as a nation came about because they were willing to challenge the status quo and ask questions about how they could build a better future. Since it’s the week of Independence Day, we’d like to honor the spirit of our Founding Fathers and celebrate the value of asking questions.

There are a lot of big things happening right now that raise questions about the future. Whether it is Brexit or the recently opened expansion of the Panama Canal that we covered last week, make no mistake about it, these events will impact businesses across the globe. And that is why it is important to realize that if we want to do a good job analyzing these events, we need to first understand our business—and I mean really know it inside and out.
