Two Great Resources for Shippers: CSCMP and Wolfe Research Survey

Every week I talk to supply chain and transportation professionals who are looking for information and ideas that can help them manage their transportation. Fortunately there are some great resources that can help you do just that. If you want to know more about the kind of issues that will impact your supply chain and transportation costs, here are two great opportunities for shippers to learn about what’s happening in the industry.

The first is Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) annual industry conference which is coming up quickly at the end of September. I’ve found this to be one of the most valuable conferences in for the supply chain industry and highly recommend it. To learn more about it visit their website.

The second opportunity is the second quarter shipper survey conducted by Wolfe Research. If you complete the survey, Wolfe Research will send you the results and they provide a wealth of information about what's happening in the trucking, rail, and ocean industries. It’s a great resource, especially for preparing a 2017 budget.
