That is why I’m excited to be sharing our On the Record interview with Brad Jacobs, the CEO of XPO, with you this week. In this interview Brad highlights how XPO grew to be one of the largest logistics companies in the industry, what they’re focusing on today, and what trends they’re seeing in the industry.

I bring this up because of a recent conversation I had with an executive. He asked for my opinion about hiring consultants for his company. When I asked him if he had people within his company that could get the project done, he told me that he had people that he liked but “I don't think they're preparing us for the kind of future that we want to have."

Folks, if you’re not doing anything to prepare for your company’s future, you’re going to want to start now! And then make sure the key contacts in your organization are aware of your plans.
